We are blessed with many children at La Puerta Abierta UMC. Praise the Lord!! We are also blessed with many activities at the church not only on Sundays but other days of the week. Therefore, we need extra hands and hearts to give our children a great Christian foundation and make fellowship with other Christian children lots of fun. Tuesday evening children’s activities
We need someone to do activities with the children on Tuesday evenings while their parents are attending the Prayer Service. This volunteer(s) would work with approximately 10 children ages 5 to 12 years old for 1 hour (7-8 pm). This volunteer would plan activities as they see fit, such as arts and crafts, music, movies, etc.
Friday evening children’s activities
We need someone to do activities with the children on Friday evenings while their parents are attending the Bible Study. This volunteer(s) would work with approximately 10 children ages 5 to 12 years old for 1.5 hours (7-8:30 pm). This volunteer would plan activities as they see fit, such as arts and crafts, music, movies, etc.
Sunday morning children’s Sunday School
We need people to teach Sunday School to our children on Sunday mornings during the worship service (11-12:30 pm). We need teachers for the following age groups: 5 to 7 years old, 8 to 10 years old.
